GNet - How to Farm In & Farm Out a Booking

Getting Started - Follow these Easy Steps:

Get set up and connected:

1.  Visit GNet Registration page for sign up (sign up is Free!).  If you do not have an existing GNet account please click here to register - and be sure to choose "Kymark" as "Your Reservation System".

See example below. 

2. On the Kymark navigation menu select "Integrations" > GRiDD GNet.

Next, press the blue "Link GNet Account" button in Kymark and enter your GNet ID to link your account. (Your GNet ID can be found in the GNet Dashboard).

Once linked it should look like this with your own personal ID account.

3. To send (farm out) or receive (farm in) bookings from another company, you will first need to connect on GNet. To connect, log into the GNet Dashboard and go to the "GNet Directory" in their menu. Find the company you want to connect with and click "Send Request". They will need to accept this request before you can send or receive bookings from them.

Once connected, use the menu to go to the Partners page and click on your partner. Enter anything in the red box under "Account Number or Customer ID of this affiliate in your reservation system." Kymark does not use this field, but GNet will require you to fill it with something.

How to Farm In a Booking:

1. Just ask your GNet partner to send you the booking/trip through their software to your GNet ID. You will receive an email from both GNet and Kymark informing you of the new booking. You can then find this booking in Kymark and manage it as normal. If you are unable to take the booking, you should change the status to "Cancelled" like you normally would any other booking.

2. Next, go to the menu and click "Configuration" > "Vehicles".  Under the heading "Internal Options" go to GNet Vehicle Type(s) and select the GNet vehicle types that most closely match your vehicle. Do not choose the same types for multiple vehicles otherwise the software will not be able to automatically pick the correct vehicle for you. 

3. You are now set up and ready to receive bookings (farm in).

How to Farm Out a Booking:

1. To farm out a booking, click on the blue button "Farm Out (GNet)".

Then choose who you want to send the booking to by picking their GNet ID from the dropdown. You also need to pick the vehicle type you would like your GNet partner to use for the trip, since your partner will have different vehicles than you. Then press "Send". Your partner will receive an email telling them about the trip and they should be able to find it in their software.

Note: When creating a new booking, you will also see a new option in the Vehicle & Driver section called "Will Farm Out". You can check this box if you are planning to farm out the booking, or you can leave this blank and choose the vehicle when you farm it out, as indicated above.
